EventReporter 7.0 Beta 4 Released
Grossrinderfeld, 2005-03-04.
Adiscon today announced the immediate availability of Beta 4
of EventReporter 7.0.
Beta 2 builds on EventReporter 7 Beta 2. Please see the
Beta 2 announcement
to learn about EventReporter 7's new features. Beta 3 was an internal
build and never publically available.
Beta 4 contains the following changes over Beta 2:
- A new option has been added to the database action. For the SystemEventProperties table, a
Maximum value length" can be set for text fields. This allows the truncation of large text fields.
By default this option is set to 512, which is the default max length of the value field.
- The "Start Program" action now supports the property replacer, meaning that parameter-passing
is now much more powerful now. Parameters can now be drawn from the full set of event properties. Of course,
the previous format can also be selected if needed.
- The SETP Action received timeout settings.
With these settings, it is possible to control
how long an SETP session shall be established (also, some other details can be configured). The big plus
of these timeouts is that they can save considerable network overhead, especially in the case of
SSL-protected sessions.
- Some bug fixes - the beta 2 build included some bugs, which
have now been fixed.
EventReporter 7.0 Beta 4 is a free download from Adiscon's web site. Users of previous Betas are
encouraged to update to the Beta 4 version.
