Creating a sample WinSyslog 4.1 config
See how file logging and email alerting are configured? In this online Seminar,
Rainer Gerhards extends a default WinSyslog configuration to
- forward all messages to the local Interactive Syslog Server
- write all messages to a log file
- forward error messages to two different administrators based on the
message origin (system)
This is a common scenario often asked for. Besides the actual
configuration, the seminar gives a good idea on how the configuration client can
be used to configure rule sets. It also shows how multiple actions can be
configured in a single rule set.
