Today, we release rsyslog 8.1903.0. This new release allows for a more dynamic use of openssl or gnutls for the relp modules in conjunction with the new librelp 1.4.0 release. That means, both tls methods are now interchangable without the need to rebuild either rsyslog or librelp.
librelp 1.4.0 [download] This new release of librelp is mostly for bugfixing. The most important change is that openssl and gnutls are now both enabled by default and can be used on an as-needed basis. For more details, please take a look at the changelog below.
Today, we release rsyslog 8.36.0. The biggest enhancement is that rsyslog now provides support for opennssl for encryption in addition to the existing gnutls driver. For the packages there will be an additional package called rsyslog-openssl, while self-building users can enable this by running the configure with –enable-openssl.
